The Basic PSU kit replaces the original AC power supply inside your MPC. Operate your MPC using a wall adapter or power bank! Unlike the Advanced PSU, an internal battery is not used with the Basic PSU. Think of it like how the MPC One, MPC X, and MPC Key is powered on when compared to the MPC Live I/II.
Power Port:
For the Barrel Jack option, power your MPC with any +30W 15-20V, 5.5 x 2.1mm, center-positive barrel jack power adapter. For example, the stock power adapter that comes with the newer generation MPCs (MPC Live, MPC X, MPC One, etc.) will work.
For the USB-C PD (Power Delivery) option, power your MPC with any +30W USB-C charger (or power bank) with 20V Power Delivery. For example, the kind used to charge and power laptops. A 30W USB-C PD adapter will be marked with “20V, 1.5A” under “Output.” A 45W adapter will be marked with “20V, 2.25A.” And so on. Just do not try using a standard cell phone charger with a USB-C cable. It will not work.
